- The Denn stone rests on the path in the old grave-yard of Denn. It is believed to be an Altar stone of an old Chapel that once stood in the grave-yard. It is a large stone with a smooth surface. Its colour is brown and it seems to be composed of sandstone. The figure of a cross is cut about 1/2" deep in the upper part of the stone. It is 7" deep and is supposed to weigh 5 cwts.
