  1. Almost every farmer has names for his fields. My father has a field called O'Gallaghan's garden. It is said that long ago the poor people were put out of their homes by the Landlords. They got little corners of fields and built little houses on them. There are ruins of an old house in that field and that is why it is called O'Gallaghan's garden
    There is a rock situated beside Salaghan Bridge. The River Erne runs beneath it. The stone is called Mullholand's Stone because a man named Mullholand's died standing up to this stone. He died with hunger in the famine times.
