    At another time where dinner was about to be served his hostess enquired whether he would like his butter "squelched". Tom, not knowing the meaning of the word replied that he didn't mind, whereupon she put a piece of butter in her mouth and having rambled [?] it about several times then put it on Tom's plate!! "Oh thank ye ma'm" said Tom "but Ill do the squelching myself".
