hidden treasure, but only thought it just a story.
But now he wished that he could find a pot of gold some where, as he could hold on no longer to the farm that belonged to his people for generations back.
He did not know what to do as there was no work to be got and went to bed very dejected that night, after turning and tossing he fell into a doze and dreamt he had found a pot of gold under a certain tree.
He got up very early next morning and set to work to cut down the tree and dig around it, when he had it cut down, and as it was falling, down, out fell his pot of gold, out of a hole that was in the centre of the tree.
He picked it up and went home and gave it to his wife, and there they lived happily, and his children after him.
