"Biddy's meadow," a meadow belonging to John George Foster in the townland of Corduff Ballinagh was called after an old lady who used to keep race horses. She used to go to the Curragh of Kildare once a year to the races. When she died the people of the locality called it Biddy's meadow ever since.
"Waterson's lane," was called after an old blacksmith, who used to make ploughs, and gates, and Harrows. he died in the year 1842, and the place where he lived the ruins of it are still to be seen at the entrance to the lane.- Collector
