  1. Long ago people used to have to have thatched houses and they used to thatch them with rushes or straw and it was mud walled houses they also lived in.
    Long ago the people used to have a bed called a settle bed it used to be kept in the kitchen beside a wall at night it could be spread down as a bed and in the day time it could be made as a seat
    The kitchens long ago were not what they are like now they had no pictures on the walls and they had clay floors in the house one you could not sweep
