    is black and white she has a forked tail. When the swallow is flying high it is the sign of good weather and when she is flying low it is the sign of bad weather.
    Finches are great songsters, there are three kinds, gold-finches, chaff-finches and bull-finches. Gold-finches are brown with yellow breast, chaff-finches are greyish with a little yellow in them, bull-finches are much the same as chaff-finches. They build their nests in low trees the gold-finch builds her nest on a far out branch of a tree, they lay about four eggs. They build their nests with mud and hair and lined with feathers. They stay in Ireland all the year.
