- Our farm consists of twelve acres. These are divided into ten fields. Some of these we have names on. The Red Bog is joining the two upper fields. These we call the "Upper Bog Fields". We have "Bottoms" we call these because they are the two farthest away from the house and because they are wet and rushy. We call the greenest field about the house the "Shamrock". The "Lime Stone" because there is Lime Stone in it. We call the "Mairon" because it separates our fields from Carmichaels fields. The "Rock Field" because there is a Rock there.
