- The Town Land of Drumicanoe is fairly small. The average size of the farm is about twelve acres. There is a large river running from Derrin through Drumicanoe and sometimes the land along the river gets flooded. The river was cleaned recently and it never overflows its banks now. They are all day farms and hilly except the land that runs along the river. There are eight families in it - four families of Galligans - two families of Corniskeys - one Reilly family and one Smith family. The oldest person in it is Mary Ann Galligan, her age is 72. There is a fort in Reillys' land. This fort is situated on a high hill overlooking the river.
