  1. (continued from previous page)
    Alive in the front'
    Dead in the middle.
    Baptised behind,
Come, tell me the riddle - A man ploughing
As I went up to Dublin
    I saw a great wonder
    I saw twenty four geese
    Tearing up the ground asunder
    A man harrowing
What goes in and out and never touches it
    Light
A little pony grey and slim,
A long white flowing tail on him,
And now a man with brassy head,
Driving him all through the wood.
    A tailor sewing.
