    Church of Kill and its graveyard. Tradition holds that in 1651 when Eamun Buidhe succeeded as the "O'Reilly" he "prayed on his knees" in Kill graveyard when he came here to receive a beautiful silver cross, a tribute to their chief from "The hunted Clans of Clonmoghan". This presentation was made on their behalf by Father Bryan O'Reilly an unregistered priest of Kilmore. Eamun Buide then succeeded Hugh Roe, son of Colonel Philip O'Reilly at Ballinacargy who gave battle to the Cromwellians at Cavan where he was killed. All through the campaign of James II Father Bryan O'Reilly was led by the side of his kinsmen Eamun Buide.
    An old resident of Aughaloora states that when this same Eamun Buide retired with the Irish Brigade to France after the loss of the Boyne Father Brian O'Reilly died in Cavan of a broken heart without a house or home to shelter him and was buried in the vaults at Kildrumferton. Probably his resting place is in the eastern corner of this old graveyard
