    in March. A rooster got thus in March was supposed to crow every hour from twelve o'clock and for that reason the people would not be afraid to go out after twelve o'clock as the cock's crow banished all evil spirits that might be abroad. People believed that there is a cure and a charm in eggs laid on Easter Sunday and they keep good for a long time.
