    Ans. A needle, white thread and thimble.
    2. Marble walls as white as milk, lined with curtain soft as silk, within a crystal fountain clear a golden apple doth appear, no bolts nor bars this treasure holds, so thieves break through and steal the gold.
    Ans. An egg.
    3. What is it that is neither flesh nor bones and yet has four fingers and a thumb.
    Ans. A glove.
    4. I have a little house and it would not hold a mouse and there are as many windows in it as the Lord Mayors house.
    Ans. A thimble.
    5. What can run and cannot walk, and can whistle but cannot talk.
