    for lodgings. She said it was a giant that lived there and when he would come home he would kill him. I lodged a man here before ,said she and he took the giant's hen. "The boy said "never mind. I'll just sleep behind the door and he will not know anything about it". She said to him you are not the same man "for he said he would sleep in a corner". She decided to let him remain. When the giant cam home he said, "Fea Fah, Fun I smell the bones of an Irish man, be he dead or be he alive. I'll have his bones for my stepping stones". "The wife replied " you old fool it was a magpie that flew over the house and her feathers flew down the chimney and went into the fire". "When the giant had eaten his supper he took down his golden horse. He would strike the hours and he would say "one side silver and other side gold and silver woudl fall out of one side of the horse and gold out of the other side.
