    done to prevent the cake from cracking. The bread is baked in an oven of a range or stove, or beside the fire in a pot oven, and sometimes on a pan or griddle. Sweet bread is made on special occasions. Boxty bread is made for hallow's eve night. A plum pudding is generally made for Christmas.
