And Three Months for Cutting a "Sally Rod"
There was a small boy hanged for cutting a Oak branch. The child's mother went on her knees and prayed that the sun might never shine on the Halldoor. That a lark might never sing on the "domain". That there might never be a heir for the Estate and it was so.
In later years the Cochrane family at Bailieborough took it over and then they sold part of it to the Marists Brothers and the other part of it to the Foresters.
