- Cure for warts.
Rub a potato to them and throw it on a white-thorn bush and when the potato is withering the warts will be going away. When walking along the road and you happen to see a stone with a hole in it and a little drop of water in it, apply some of this water on the warts and it is said they will go away.
Cure for Sty.
Get nine gooseberry thorns and point them towards the sty throwing one away each morning for nine mornings and at the end of the ninth morning the sty will be gone.
