And daughters too I pray that you may listen for awhile
As I intend some time to spend and here thoughts a loss
To show to you the scenery around Cornanlaragh Cross

In Summer time when flowers fine and everything looks gay
They sexes both are no way both along the lake to stray
Or take a float in Harveys boat and now the lake across
Seek pleaseure sure you can scenery around Cornalaragh Cross

They fishers too I tell you like I watch them on the strand
When the get a rise to my surprise the haul of fish to land
If fishing fail I will give bail the will go pray pitch and toss
Or court a lass upon the grass around Cornalaragh Cross

They ladies fair that dwell around there are handsome and refined
If you want court lick ways good sport its value there you'll find
On a Sunday most up to the Post, thats held by Mrs Ross
A walk the will take all around the Lake from Cornalaragh Cross

Or take a trip up to the top of Tierneys hill so high
If the day is clear from far and near objects you can espy
From Callen down to Cavan town from Shercock to Maross
But there is none so fair or can compare with Cornalarlagh Cross- Collector
