While the Redemptorist Fathers were giving a Mission in Killinkere a few years ago, there was a procession to this well. The Rosary was recited in the rocks, and hymns were sung. Further up in Termon, a cross was erected to mark the spot where priests hid from soldiers and "priest-hunters", as a reward was given for their capture.
