  1. A fair
Cattle, sheep and horses are sold in the fair. When we have to go to a fair we have to get up very early and bring our cattle out to the town where the fair is held. Sometimes our cattle are bought on the road by the cattle dealers.
When the farmer asks a certain price for his beast, the dealer always offers a much lower price. Then they strike a bargain and they sometimes divide the difference equally and when the dealer has the beast bought the farmer has to give him a luck-penny of from 1/- to 2/6. If the dealer gives a good price for the beast, he gets a good luck-penny.
