    A poem connected with the signs of the weather is:-
    Low over the grass the swallows swing the cricket too how sharp he sings. Puss on the hearth with velvet paws sits wiping over her whiskered jaws.
    Through the clear streams the fishes rise they nimbly catch the incautious flies. The glow worm and bright illumined the dewy vale last night and see the rooks how odd their flight the imatatke [?] the gliding kite and headlong downwards seem to fall as if transfixed by rifle ball.
    The whirling wind the dust obeys and in the rappet Eddie plays. It will surely rain I see with sorrow
