  1. Some of the old marriage customs are carried out in this locality. The Bride wears something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. When she is dressing she is supposed to put the shoe and stocking on the right foot first. When the Bride and Groom start for the Church an old shoe is thrown after them for luck. When the Bride goes to her new home someone meets her at the door and put the Tongs in her hand to make her mistress of the house and then there gathers boys dressed in straw outside the house looking in straw outside the house looking for money or drinks.
Some times they put a rope across the road to hold up the Bride and Groom to get money/ When they get money they cut the rope and let them through.
