  1. Once upon a time there was a woman who had a nice baby of whom she took good care. One day she went away and when she came back there was a sickly crying baby in the cradle and her own was gone. It was always crying and she was always asking people what she should do.
    One day the priest told her to put the baby in a shawl and stand in a river and let the child drop into the river.
    She did so and the baby turned into an old man and started cursing her and she ran home and found her own child in the cradle.
