    every year on the 24th July. Also there used to be a fair in Balyhaise, it was known as the cattle fair.
    Redhills fair is now discontinued because the buyers ceased coming, and it began to get smaller and gradually it ceased altogether.
    When an animal is sold luck-money is given. It is known as a luckpenny. Parties show their agreement by striking hands and also by spitting.
