  1. There are still travelling folk coming to our district. Most of them come on Saturday. A man used to come named Joe lawless. This man used to wear his hair long down his back thinking he was Our Lord. There is the ruin of an old monastery, over in a field on the Barrow Lane, Kilsaran where he used to pretend he was saying Mass and giving Communion. He would never beg in the house but worked a day's work here and there. This old man is dead now, go ndeanaidh Dia
