- Weeds are harmful to crops. The most harmful are rag weed, chicken weed, bishop weed, and thistles. Bishop weed and chicken weed spread quickly and choke the crops. Rag weed and thistles, grow in good land, and nettles, and doch leaves grow in bad land. Tea made from nettles is used as a cure for measles, plaintain leaves are used for healing sores, chicken weed is used for redudicing swelling and dandelion tea is taken for liver complaints
Dandelion is given as food to pigs and nettles are given to turkeys.- Collector
