Houses made of mud and bog sods were the kind of houses that were the kind of houses that were out in former times the were roofed with sods from the bog In olden times there was always a bed in the corner of the kitchen it was called a "Settle bed In some houses the fireplace was in the corner In olden times the chimney was made of clay There was an old man living near Longford long ago he had a hose made of mud and bog sods he had no chimney(continues on next page)- Collector
