    The Barrel Rocks:- Come all you jolly mariners give ear into my song,

    So to conclude and finish,
    I hope to name the day,
    With parents dear and comrade boys,
    Once more to sport and play,
    And my own colleen with a smile serene,
    And a heart that is always true,
    To roam the paths of the green hillside,
    In the parish of west Kilmoe.
    The Cottage by the Sea
    Childhood's days now pass before me
    Forms and scenes of long ago
    Like a dream they hover o'er me
    Calm and bright as evening's glow
    Days that knew no shade of sorrow
    When my young heart brave and free
    Joyful hailed each coming morrow
    In the cottage by the sea
    Fancy sees the rose trees twining
    Around that old and rustic door
    And below the white beach shining
    Where I gathered shells of yore
    Hears my gentle mother's warning
    As she took me on her knee
