If you have ring-worm and get the seventh son or daughter to leave his or her hand on the spot where the worm is it will die and the person gets quite cured.
- For a a sore throat, white wine vinegar with candy dissolved in it was used as a gargle, and was considered a good cure.
- To cure a headache, rub vinegar on both temples and tie a brown paper across the forehead and the headache will go after a few hours.
