In the year 1892 Wills Sandford caused the eviction of Pat Gaffey of Cregameen. The sheriff and his assistant accompanied by the police carried out the eviction. They removed all articles of household furniture and kitchen utensils on to the neighbouring roadside. The eviction was declared complete when the fire was extinguished and the door locked.
