There are two bogs in the locality. One is called "The Small Bog" and it covers about an acre of ground. The other is called "The Big Bog" and it cover two acres of ground.
These bogs supply the local people with turf. There is one small wood growing in the townland called "The Bounds Wood" because it is the boundary between the landlord's and tenants' farms. There are two rivers in my townland. One rises in Noan Wood, and it runs under the ground by the school and down to the bog and into the Suir. The other river rises at Mansergh's Well and goes through the bog where it joins the first river.
There are no lakes, but there are two streams, one is in the bog and the other is in a field in the townland.
