They made dough of the mixture with milk. They baked the cake in an oven with lard or dripping under the cake. The way they made oaten meal cake was: They got the oaten meal and mixed it with a little flour, breadsoda and salt and made them into dough with milk.The people baked the bread every week. They put a cross on the top of the cakes.
