They collect a few pennies at nearly every house they go to. The money is divided among the wren boys.
There was a man named Blake who lived over the Old Bridge in Clonmel He used to organize parties of the wren boys and he had very original ideas for dressing up. He died three or four years ago, and people of Clonmel say, when he died the wren died too.- Collector
