- Rag dolls were made in sizes. I am here giving the making of a doll about a foot in height.
About a quarter of a yard of stuff was used to make a rag doll. Old Irish people used red flannel also a small piece of white was needed.
They cut out two pieces of cloth for the legs. Then they put one half of the stuff over the other.
They sewed the two pieces of cloth together and turned them to the right side. The left leg was made in the same way and then stuffed them with very fine rags.
