“A man named Madden was shot in Killurney wood some years ago. ...”
A man named Madden was shot in Killurney wood some years ago. Although mortally wounded he dragged himself to a neighbouring house and told the names of his assailants (the Coady's) who were afterwards hanged in Clonmel. As Coady was brought out to the scoffold he tried to shoe his excutioner from(continues on next page)
