- On the top of the Comeragh Mountains between Beárna Bhéil an Bhealaigh and Bearna an Mhadra is a flat tract of Réidh called Móin an Mhullaigh. A saint was travelling that way long ago, and he got hungry. He found some wild berries and he prayed that any person passing that way in future might never be hungry. He touched the tree on which the berries grew and they were changed into apple trees with red apples growing on them all the year round. Only a person with no sin on his soul could see the apples.
