    Burnt leather and hogs lard made into an ointment is a great cure for a bed ulcer.
    Burnt salt put into a woollen stocking is a very good cure for a sore throat.
    Penny-leaf: A great cure for a corn is the juice of the penny leaf that grown on the hedges in the country. Put on to the corn and a bandage put over. It softens the corn and it is easy to take it out afterwards.
