the church. All the people of the parish knew she was forever praying for a husband.
One day when they saw her coming into the church they put a little boy behind the statue. When the woman went up to the statue she began saying "Oh, Mary, Mother of God, please give me a husband", the little boy from behind the statue said "No husband for Kate". The woman thought it was the Child Jesus who spoke. She looked up and said "Yerra, whisht Child and leave your Mother talk".
