    where the altar once stood.
    The Ragwell, which adjoins my aunt's field is situated about a mile East of the town. Up to recently it was frequently visited on Sundays and half holidays, but now there is a well built at the enterance to prevent visitors going there, owing to some mischief being caused by some boys. It was the custom when the people visited the well to tie a rag on the tree which overhangs it. It was known in the olden times to contain two trout and only two.
