    An appointment would be fixed to attend at the intended Bride's home to make the match, the young man being warned not to forget the bottle of whiskey. This having been complied with both set off to the girl's home where the match maker enters first with his usual "God save all here". He then introduces the young man to the girl's parents. Then they discuss the object of hid mission, suggesting what a suitable match this would be etc. If the girl's parents consented to the match, the young man would bring the bottle of whiskey over which the rest of the night
