- The games played in this district were football, hurling and handball.
Long ago one parish played against another one in football. There was football played on Loughhooney Meadow and on Tulleevin hill. There was a match played in Tulleevin hill between Cavan and Armagh about 47 years ago.
The team was made up of twenty one players on each side.
The players wore togs jerseys, stockings and football boots. Each team wore different colours. Marbles was a great game in olden times. At school both boys and girls played marbles. Hurling was not a very common game.
