- (continued from previous page)were hounds out hunting. They raised a hare and followed it till it came to a house and disappeared into it. The hounds followed it into the house and when they went in they [found] nothing but an old woman sleeping in a bed.
- Long ago the people used to make a Saint Brigid's Cross every year and stick them in the ribs of the house. Sometimes there would be crosses all round the houses in the inside.
