- Old Felix Boylan of Coraneary now dead about twenty years, came from Lisnaclea, in the parish of Drumgoon, where his father was a blacksmith. Feily's father every harvest sent his sons around his customers and collected about a stook of corn from each customer. He collected in all about a small stack of oats. The straw he needed to thatch his forge.
- A common saying was, "it is as truce as if I swore it on the bachal a Kill". Informant thinks this bachal was a book. It was believed that if you took a false oath on it your mouth would become twisted to one side of your face. The bachal was used to settle disputes. Informant does not know what family kept it.
