   had to remain this way for seven weeks until the snow vanished. Some of them were alive.
   When going to mass they took a shovel with them and dug a margin along the side of the road.
   In 1898 there was a terrible windstorm. We often hear people talking about the might of the big wind. it took place in the season of Autumn, and oats were blown into neighbouring fields and were mixed with neighbour's oats. The following day the farmers were busy separating their own oats from their neighbours.
   The roofs were blown off houses. Hay was scattered through the meadows and many other damages were done.
