    times bones came down, and as fast as they would come down he used to hurl them all into the fire. So at last a big red man came down and shouted in a very coarse voice to Paddy, what is bringing you here. Paddy did not put much heed on him, but got his little hurley and gave him two or three blows and put him flying out and nobody came to him until morning. When the morning came all the neighbors came to him to see how did he get on. He told them that there did a small Tom-Tit of a man come and hit him with his little hurley, and put him out and no one came near him until morning. He told all the neighbors that there was no need of being afraid to stay in that house any more, because that fairy was only coming there to see would he get anyone to stay in it. So forever after there was nothing to be seen or heard in that house any more.
