    it is a sign of rain. When the hill appear nearer to us than they are it is a sure sign of rain and when there are streaky clouds in the sky it is also. When the sun goes pale to bed it is a sign of rain, and when the rooks are high up in the sky , also when there is a halo around the moon . When the stars are bright it is a sign of frost.
    I got those signs from Mr Christopher Fennessy, Cloghera ( Blacksmith ) Kilmore, Co, Clare.
