On the 2nd February 1903 a fierce storm arose. It was at the height of its fury about ten o'clock at night It lasted about four hours There was a great deal of damage done to the farmers in the locality Very few people escaped the storm No one was killed in my locality Several ships were lost in the sea and people were drowned No one could go out The people didn't know whether they were safer inside or outside
