    which bears the name Bauroe, also.Two of these houses are thatched,and one slated.One is built over 400 years while the others are built 300 and 200 years respectively.
    Farming is the only industry carried out in Bauroe ,with the exception of a few shopkeepers in the village which adjoins it.
    About sixteen years ago ,the fair of Bauroe ,which is now held in the village,was then held in a waste stretch of land above the village.This waste is called the "Fair Green".
    The Irish language was spoken by by the people of Bauroe seventy or eighty years ago but now,it is entirely dead except when the children of the place learn it in school.
    Many boys and girls emigrated to America in bygone days .Some of them returned and bought farms or shops,and settled down again in their native land.
    Forty years ago the noise of the tucking mills was heard every night about twelve o'clock ,when a man named Hugh O'Flynn and his two sons worked it ,when their work on the farm was finished .This tucking mill was situated on the river opposite the dwelling house of the present Patrick O'Flynn ,and a little below the site of the creamery .The raw flax was first steeped in the bog water,later on it was brought to Hugh O'Flynn who finished it by tucking it in his mill.
