    Westropp then said to Michael “you are a strong man and you may leave her there unti she dies”
    Another story is also told about Michael, one day Westropp was talking to the captain of a ship in the Limerick docks.
    While talking the captain said he had a black man on board the ship who was able to lift 22cwt of an anchor.
    He also said he would defy any man to do the same. Westropp agreed to get a man but he should get a month to prepare.
    When the month had passed Westropp took Michael to the docks, the black man was there before them, it was he who got the first chance to lift the anchor and he was only able to lift it to his knees
