    Folllowing Thursday with 14 acres of hay cut.
    Now we talk of James McNerney of Gallows-Hill who was noted for his great voice.
    One day he went to Rossmanagher cutting hay,
    This is a few miles away from Gallows-Hill.When he reached the hay-field he discovered he had to the scyth-board with him. His house was too far away to go there for it , so he called his wife at the top of his voice, she heard him and came out,then she heard him say plainly “ send down the scythe-board it is under the dresser “ this man was also a great singer.
    A great runner lived near Gallows-Hill whose name was Martin Mangan. One time he won the mile Championship of the
    World in four minutes and some seconds .
